Alpha Sigma Nu/Thomas Timothy Smith Lecture

John P. Curtin, M.D., internationally recognized gynecologic oncologist and president of the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists,, will speak on "A Physician's Reflection on Education: Lifelong Learning" on Wednesday, Sept. 28, at Creighton University.
He will be the guest speaker for the 53rd Annual Alpha Sigma Nu and 22nd Annual Thomas Timothy Smith, M.D., Inaugural Week Joint Lecture.

 

The event, which is free to the public, will be held at 6 p.m. at the Mike and Josie Harper Center, 602 N. 20 St. A 7 p.m. reception will follow. Seating is limited, and early arrival is recommended.


Dr. Curtin, who earned his undergraduate and medical degrees at Creighton University and a master's in business administration at Columbia University, is associate director for academic affairs and education at the Clinical Cancer Institute at New York University's Langone Medical Center. He is also a professor of obstetrics and gynecology and associate director of NYU School of Medicine's Division of Gynecologic Oncology.
He is the lead author or co-author of more than 100 printed articles and has co-authored five textbooks and twelve textbook chapters on gynecologic oncology.
