September 11th—a National Day of Service and Remembrance
On this 12th anniversary of September 11th, we all take time to reflect on the events of that infamous day, to pray for peace and forgiveness and healing, and to unite as a nation in support of one another. In this spirit, the government has designated September 11th as a National Day of Service and Remembrance. As so many did in the minutes, days, and weeks following the terrorist attacks, we are called to come together as a community - to serve one another. Perhaps your annual reflection and prayer can be enlivened by service. Find ways you can get involved in your community on this day and every day at the United We Serve website.
