Commissioner Edward A. Chow, MD
Alpha Sigma Nu member Edward A. Chow, MD (USF `58 ) received the prestigious Silver SPUR Award for his exemplary service to the San Francisco and Bay Areas. Commissioner Chow was selected for the award, which honors individuals who have made a positive impact on the quality of life and work in the San Francisco and Bay Areas. His four decades of service to the community in the area of public health have been spent in pursuit of improved health and access to health care for the area's residents. Commissioner Chow is especially well-known for his work with the Chinese Hospital and his efforts in helping to create the Chinese Community Health Plan. An active member in the community and dedicated Commissioner on the San Francisco Health Commission, Dr. Chow has made a lasting impact on the community, making health care available and accessible for those in the Asian community and beyond. Congratulations, Commissioner Chow, on your great achievement and for continuing the values of Alpha Sigma Nu and Jesuit education throughout your career.
