Student Member Renee Brzyski Receives Woman of the Year Award
We at Alpha Sigma Nu would like to congratulate Renee Brzyski (St. Peter's `13) on receiving the New Jersey Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (NJAIAW) Woman of the Year Award. Renee is a senior at Saint Peter's Univesity, a newly-inducted Alpha Sigma Nu member, and an intercollegiate athlete in track and field. Renee was presented the award, which honors female student-atheletes in secondary and post-secondary education throughout New Jersey, at the 21st Annual New Jersey Women of the Year Awards Luncheon. Miss Brzyski was recognized for excellence in contributing to her college and community through athletics and community service involvement, on top of excelling in academics at Saint Peter's University.
Renee Brzyski is captain of the Saint Peter's track and field team and helped lead her team to two indoor and two outdoor MAAC Championships and is the current school record holder in the Pentathlon. She excels in athletes while proving her scholarly prowess in the classroom and while volunteering with groups such as Big Brothers and Big Sisters, a local mentoring program, and planning to spend her summer at a Global Outreach Program this summer. The same qualities and talents that qualified her for membership in Alpha Sigma Nu also caught the attention of the NJAIAW.
We congratulate Renee and look forward to hearing what comes next for this outstanding member.
