America Magazine article highlights “Jesuits in Hierarchy”
America Magazine recently published an interesting article about Jesuits who have held or currently hold positions in the Church as bishops, archbishops, and cardinals. With the election of the first Jesuit pope, the world is more focused than ever on how Ignatian leadership through the Jesuit tradition will influence the Pope's decision-making and the future of the Church. It turns out there have been numerous Ignatian-inspired leaders in the Church, however, though not in the papal seat. Read this article in America by Peter Schineller, SJ, to learn more about these Jesuit leaders.
