The evening will include brief remarks from Eric Clayton, Deputy Director of Communications at the Jesuit Conference of Canada and the United States, and Deanna Howes Spiro, Vice President of Communications for the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU).

Deanna Howes Spiro (Fordham University ’17) joined the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities in 2007. She has held four roles at AJCU, including six years as director of communications and, since June 2020, as vice president of communications. Deanna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Media Studies from Fordham University and a Master’s degree in Communication from Johns Hopkins University. Outside of AJCU, Deanna serves on the Board of Directors for Alpha Sigma Nu and the Jesuit Friends and Alumni Network (JFAN) USA. She also serves as a cantor at Holy Trinity, a Jesuit parish in Washington, D.C.

Eric Clayton (Fairfield University ’10) is the deputy director of communications at the Jesuit Conference of Canada and the United States. In his role, he manages the award-winning weekly column “Now Discern This,” a series on Ignatian spirituality and everyday living, as well as produces video, audio, and other digital content to share the riches of Ignatian spirituality with a general audience. Eric is also the author of three books on Ignatian spirituality. Read more about Eric here.
