About the Guest Speaker: Father Patrick J. Conroy, S.J., has served as the 60th Chaplain of the U.S. House of Representatives since 2011. He opens the House session each day with prayer and offers Members of Congress a ministry of prayer, presence and service. Fr. Conroy offers prayers at official Congressional functions and other events, welcomes guest chaplains who come from congressional districts around the country to offer the opening prayer, visits with clergy and parliamentarians from around the world who are interested in legislative chaplaincy, and speaks to school groups and others about his role as Chaplain.
