Creighton University
The Creighton University chapter distinguished itself with a year focused on deepening community engagement, strengthening connections with the Jesuit community, and boosting member participation. Highlights include a Creighton basketball watch party co-hosted with the ASN alumni club, a heartfelt card-making event for a local senior living facility, and a thoughtful bouquet delivery to Jesuits on campus—an event made possible through the innovative use of the Haig Fund. Communication via email, Instagram, and a well-maintained listserv kept members informed and engaged throughout. Their induction ceremony, held in the Harper Center auditorium, was made special with personal photo opportunities and the presence of President Daniel Hendrickson, SJ. The formal end-of-year medallion ceremony luncheon for graduates and their families, attended by University leadership and Jesuits, reaffirmed the campus community’s commitment to Alpha Sigma Nu. In leading by example, this chapter not only upheld AΣN’s mission, they practiced it in action and community.

Saint Joseph’s University
This year, Saint Joseph’s University stood out for its commitment to expanding the meaning of excellence beyond academics, emphasizing a deep dedication to service and leadership. The chapter’s induction ceremony, celebrated with President Cheryl A. McConnell, PhD, welcomed students whose impact on campus is rooted in these values. New student members in attendance at the ceremony were already looking ahead at leadership positions for 2025-2026. The executive board, composed of six members from diverse areas of campus life, fostered strong collaboration and fresh perspectives in planning and executing chapter goals. A highlight of the year was the ASN Meet and Greet, held in the Jesuit Arrupe Center, where Jesuits warmly welcomed and congratulated new members, reinforcing the society’s service-oriented mission. This chapter exemplifies what it means to live the AΣN tenets of scholarship, loyalty, and service.

Santa Clara University
This year, Santa Clara University’s chapter took major strides in strengthening alumni engagement and supporting the holistic development of its members. Through active outreach on LinkedIn and consistent communication via email, the chapter focused on cultivating a broader, more engaged network. The induction ceremony was a powerful celebration of scholarship, loyalty, and service—so impactful, that the growing class size prompted a move to the historic Mission Church. This beautiful venue set the tone for an inspiring evening, with participation from President Julie Sullivan, PhD, highlighted by a keynote address from Rev. Matthew Carnes, SJ, Vice President for Mission and Ministry. Chosen by the students, Fr. Carnes delivered a moving reflection on cura personalis, justice, and hope. The celebration continued outdoors with a reception that brought together inductees, alumni, university leadership, and Jesuits. This chapter exemplifies what it means to lead with purpose, connect across generations, and uphold the core values of Alpha Sigma Nu.

Spring Hill College
Spring Hill College’s chapter made a meaningful impact this year through strong collaboration, service-centered programming, and intentional outreach to the campus community. With a goal of increasing awareness and campus presence, the chapter partnered with student groups like Pathways and Greenkeepers to co-host events rooted in shared Jesuit values. Their standout initiative was the warm clothing and blanket drive, which united the entire campus to support those experiencing homelessness during Mobile’s record-breaking winter snowfall. Their induction ceremony was a memorable celebration, featuring remarks from Provost Rebecca Cantor, PhD and participation by President Mary H. Van Brunt, PhD. Each inductee received a photo with their pin and President Van Brunt, creating a lasting keepsake. This year also marked a special moment of transition, as the chapter gives heartfelt thanks to Rev. Michael Williams, SJ, who, after over 20 years of faithful service as Spring Hill College’s chapter adviser and Board of Directors Chapter Adviser, will be stepping down this fall. His enduring support and mentorship have deeply shaped Alpha Sigma Nu and the chapter’s mission and spirit.
