Dr. Anthony Fauci Inducted as an Honorary Member at Georgetown University

On Feb. 4, 2024, the Georgetown University AΣΝ chapter inducted Dr. Anthony Fauci into Alpha Sigma Nu as an honorary member. 

Dr. Fauci currently serves as a Distinguished University Professor at Georgetown University’s School of Medicine, an academic division that provides clinical care, conducts research, and trains future physicians in infectious diseases. Concurrently, Dr. Fauci serves as a Distinguished University Professor at Georgetown’s McCourt School of Public Policy, a division that evaluates complex policy issues, trains students in collaboration with local and global communities, and creates opportunities for dialogue and deepening impact.

Dr. Fauci was inducted along with 104 new members, including 3 honorary members. During the ceremony, Dr. Fauci highlighted his connection to Alpha Sigma Nu’s tenets of scholarship, loyalty, and service, and concluded his remarks with a message of hope for new members:

“I have great faith that as Jesuit ideals become the cloth of your character as you carve a career path out in the world, you will be among the civic leaders protecting, restoring and building our world into a better place.”
