2024-2025 YAAC Members

Gina Canavan (Loyola University Chicago ‘21) graduated from Loyola in May of 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a minor in Bioethics. While attending Loyola, she was a member of ASN, served on the executive board of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, volunteered at several hospitals in Chicago, and worked as a Supplemental Instructor with the Achieving College Excellence program at Loyola's tutoring center. She is currently a first-year medical student at Des Moines University, where she serves as President of the Student Osteopathic Medical Association (SOMA).She is excited to be in the YAAC cohort to support ASN's mission. 

 

Danny Chekal (Marquette ‘22) grew up in the Detroit area and attended a Jesuit High School and then attended Marquette University where he was an active member of ASN. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and minors in Business Administration, Public History and Theology, and a Master’s in Political Science both from Marquette. Currently, Danny is working to expand educational access in Milwaukee as the Data and Compliance Coordinator at St. Augustine Preparatory Academy. 

 

Jennifer Comppen (Fordham ’20) is a nonprofit professional with experience in development, grant writing and reporting, and budget management. Currently, she is the Manager of Data Analytics and Impact Reporting at the Bergen Volunteer Medical Initiative, a northern New Jersey nonprofit providing free healthcare to working, low-income, uninsured individuals. She graduated summa cum laude from Fordham University with a bachelor’s in political science in 2019. Her time at Fordham only strengthened her commitment to the values of a Jesuit education and desire for a public service career. She is excited to serve on the Alpha Sigma Nu Young Alumni Advisory Council and make a difference in the lives of others.

 

Anna Gade (Gonzaga ‘22) graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor’s in Psychology with a Research Concentration and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership in 2022. While completing her master’s degree, Anna served as an AmeriCorps member focused on food insecurity. Currently, Anna works with Catholic Charities of Eastern Washington as a Shelter Operations Manager focused on a commitment to the human dignity of each individual served. 

 

 

Jordan Glassman (Saint Louis University ‘20) graduated in 2020 with majors in Philosophy and Political Economy. At SLU, Jordan engaged with Alpha Sigma Nu as an inductee and through his work as the student government’s VP of Academic Affairs and as a member of the Mission Priority Examen Steering Committee. He considers his 8+ years of Jesuit education to be one of the greatest gifts he has been blessed with. Upon graduating, Jordan moved to Rome to serve on the Vatican’s COVID-19 Commission as part of the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development. He is currently a Principal Consultant with a global supply chain consulting firm in Boston, MA.

 

Amanda (Mandy) Judah (BC ‘19) graduated from the Boston College Honors Program in 2020, with a degree in History. She served as the Treasurer of Alpha Sigma Nu during her senior year and was one of the officers to represent their chapter during the student leadership conference. She has remained connected to her Jesuit values by completing the 18-month Contemplative Leaders in Action program through the Office of Ignatian Spirituality. She currently works at Arizona State University and is pursuing her Master’s in Nonprofit Leadership and Management. 

 

 

 

Luke Klahs (Creighton University ‘22) graduated in 2023, with a major in Economics and a minor in Biology. Luke is currently a dental student at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He looks forward to continuing to develop his relationship with the Jesuit values through his participation on the YAAC. Luke’s goal is to utilize his Jesuit education in advancing access to oral healthcare.

 

Alejandro Monarrez (Loyola University New Orleans ‘23) serves as an active duty Judge Advocate in the U.S. Navy JAG Corps advising naval commanders on military justice and administrative law issues. Prior to joining the Navy, he worked with institutional clients on compliance enhancements based on federal statutory/regulatory requirements to mitigate risk. While in law school, he served as a Judicial Extern at the Washington Supreme Court, briefing and providing recommendations to Chief Justice Steven C. Gonzalez, the first Latino Chief Justice on the bench. Before law and business school, he served on active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps. Alejandro holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice & Criminology from Loyola University Chicago (’13), a J.D. from Seattle University School of Law (’21), and an M.B.A. from Loyola University New Orleans (’23).

Allison Morog (Xavier University ‘22) will be graduating from Xavier University in May 2024 with a double major in Middle School Education and Spanish. She will begin teaching in Cincinnati in the 2024–2025 school year and is heavily involved in local tutoring programs dedicated to underserved youth. She served as the ASN Chapter President at Xavier.

 

Kevin Walsh (Fairfield ‘18) is a graduate of Fairfield University, where he achieved summa cum laude honors while earning degrees in Finance and Economics. Before his time at Fairfield, he attended Boston College High School which is renowned for its Jesuit education tradition. Kevin's professional journey has led him through the industries of venture capital and consulting, culminating in his current role at McKinsey & Company, where he contributes his expertise to their private equity practice. Outside of work, Kevin enjoys reading, writing and spending time with his friends and family.
