Without AΣN, I may never have married the love of my life. When I found out that I was getting into AΣN at Gonzaga University, I quickly signed up as an officer along with a few other friends. My future wife on the other hand would get nominated for an officer position by her friend, and she was “volun-told” to help out with management of the organization.

Flash forward to AΣN induction in the spring of 2010, and my future partner in life just happened to be sitting next to me at the officer's table. We spent the evening chatting and hanging out, which led to a promise that we would get together soon and watch the TV series “How I Met Your Mother” (I had never seen it, but she was a big fan.)

As we started spending more time together that last month of senior year at Gonzaga, all our friends were so surprised that we had never ran into each other before. After all, Gonzaga is a pretty small school. They instantly saw what we were just learning: the two of us make a pretty awesome couple. Now after almost 10 years together, we still enjoy similar TV shows as well as outdoor adventures like hiking the Colorado Trail (Read our article from Gonzaga Magazine.)

Because of our shared values and work ethic, which is exemplified by AΣN, I am confident that our life partnership will last many more decades. In this way, it is safe to say that attending Gonzaga and getting involved with AΣN was one of the best decisions of my life.
